Why proof is the feature that pays for the software
Most moving-software features save time. Proof saves money. A single disputed damage claim can cost more than a year of subscription, and the argument almost always comes down to the same question: what did the goods look like when your crew touched them?
If the answer lives in someone’s memory, or in photos a driver took sometimes, you lose that argument. If it lives in a timestamped record the system refused to let anyone skip, you win it.
How photo-gating works in Store Stash

The gate is enforced in the app: the advance button is disabled until the requirement is met, and a message states exactly what is missing. Your company controls how many photos each stage requires.
Enforced, not encouraged. This is the distinction to test with any vendor. Ask them directly: can a driver mark a job delivered without a photo? If the answer is yes, it is not a proof system.
The office view
Every job carries a photo trail grouped by milestone, with counts per stage and a red flag against any missing required photo. Combined with the timeline - every status change, who made it and when - and the three-point payment ledger, a closed job is a complete, defensible record.

What is proof of delivery software for moving companies?
Proof of delivery software captures documented evidence that goods were collected, stored and delivered - typically timestamped photos taken by the crew at each hand-off. For movers it matters most when a customer claims damage after the fact and the company needs to show the condition of the goods at each stage.
Does Store Stash require photos, or just allow them?
It requires them. A shipment cannot advance past Picked up, In storage, or Delivered until the required photo is captured. The advance button stays locked, and the app opens the camera rather than the photo library, so the image is taken at the location.
What happens if the driver has no signal?
The photo is queued locally and the stage advance is allowed to proceed, so work is never blocked in a basement or a rural lane. The photo uploads automatically on reconnect and the server re-checks the requirement.
Can the office see which photos are missing?
Yes. Each job shows a photo trail grouped by milestone - pickup/item, storage drop, delivery, storage unit - and flags any missing required photo in red before the job is closed out.
